The consultation was Dr Asim Shahmalak was very informative, he put me at ease and was very polite. He explained how everything would go on the day of the procedure and he understood my needs and what I was hoping to achieve on the day of the procedure. I chose the Crown Clinic after I had read about the successful procedures that had been carried out by Dr Shahmalak. After researching hair restoration and the FUE procedure since 2009, I knew that the Crown Clinic was the place where I wanted my procedure done.

It has been a big deal for me and I have spent many years thinking about the FUE procedure done, but I was always apprehensive and scared to actually have it done. That was until I visited the Crown Clinic where I was reassured and my mind was finally made up after six years of worrying.

I have travelled all over the country and spoke to many hair restoration surgeons. But none of them seemed to be as thorough or as polite as Dr Shahmalak. I am really glad that I chose to have the FUE procedure done at the Crown Clinic in Manchester, which was also convenient for me as it isn’t too far from my home in Leeds and it is an easy location being that it is close to Manchester Airport so travelling was no problem.

On the day of the procedure, I was welcomed and greeted with a nice cup of coffee, I was then shown to my own private room where I could read and relax before the procedure, there was also a range of free refreshments in the room.

All the staff and the hair technicians in the surgery room were all some of the nicest people that I’ve ever met. I was worried about having to have all my hair shaved off as I didn’t want people at work knowing that id had the hair transplant done. So one of the lovely technicians made sure that only the back and sides of my hair were shaved and blended in nicely. Ten days later when I returned to work nobody even noticed that I had hair shaved short at the back and sides as it had grown back nicely.

In the surgery room, I actually had a good laugh with all the lovely ladies that were working alongside Dr Shahmalak. Even though my fear is of needles I was quickly made comfortable and that calmed me down.

I was able to sit and watch films on the iPad that was set up for me and I also watched movies on the flat-screen television which was very nice. There was no pain during the procedure, just a short bit when the anaesthetic was administered but that was something that was easy to deal with.

I was then given a break during the procedure and I was given a choice of what I would like for lunch. I was made a lovely salmon sandwich, and a nice cup of tea and some juice. The whole day went by so quick, I guess I was having fun! I actually didn’t want the day to end as it was a real good laugh with Dr Shahmalak and all his technicians.

I was given an aftercare pack to take home & given all the necessary instructions of what to do post-op. The day after the procedure I was contacted by the staff at Crown Clinic to see how I was doing, which I found to be very nice and comforting to receive the telephone call. It didn’t take too long for me to heal post-surgery and ten days later I returned to work as my job is labour intensive. Since my procedure, many people at work have already commented what I look different and I have been asked what it is that I’ve done to look different. I have also had comments on how much thicker my hair looks already after only three months after the procedure. I am very happy so far and already my confidence has boosted which has made my day to day life more fulfilled. I am looking forward to visiting the Clinic in October to have my results assessed.

Dr Shahmalak and Team! I can’t thank you enough for how well and comfortable you made me feel when I was in Crown Clinic. All the nurses were lovely always asking me if I was ok and if there was owt they could do for me at any time! I can’t comment on the hair as yet as it’s been only 2 days but I’m sure I will be pleased with the outcome in time ☺!

But as far as the transplant has gone it looks 100% with everything they have done for me. I can’t thank them enough and I would recommend them to anybody I know or anybody who is thinking of having a transplant done! 10/10 5 Star. Thank you very much Dr Shahmalak and Team ☺!

Hi there, I am writing this to tell you how pleased I am with everyone from Crown Clinic. From the first phone call all I have received is politeness, professionality and utmost confidence. I chose the right team to carry out my much needed hair transplant, on the day of my transplant I was very nervous, but as soon as I arrived I was welcomed with open arms which made the nerves disappear straight away. My initial consultation was very informative and outlined what I could realistically expect to achieve from HT surgery. On the day of my surgery I found the clinic staff to be very professional and attentive to my needs and I was treated with respect at all times. Post operative instructions were gone through with in great detail and I was given a pack containing all of the things needed for my aftercare. I was very happy with my experience and would recommend the clinic to anybody who was thinking of going through with a HT procedure.

I did quite a bit of research and visited several other clinics before selecting the Crown Clinic. I liked the fact that I got to meet the surgeon, Dr Shahmalak, who would be carrying out the procedure as opposed to meeting a salesperson. As soon as I met Dr Shahmalak I knew he was the right man for the job. Not only was he very knowledgeable, highly qualified and equally highly recommended, he was also very friendly and genuine! I felt he had my best interests at hear.

I would also like to make a special mention about Afshan, the clinic manager, who was extremely helpful in the lead up to surgery making sure the day of the opp was as stress free as possible. I was travelling up from Essex and Afshan booked me a room at the hotel next door courtesy of Crown Clinic which I thought was a really nice touch! The day of surgery – I met Dr Shahmalak and his team and they talked me through the procedure. They all made me feel very relaxed erasing any of my pre-op nerves. I thought Dr Shahmalak and his team far exceeded my expectations and I would def recommend to anyone considering this procedure!

Crown Clinic was the second high profile clinic I visited during my search for treatment. I thought it prudent to seek a second opinion on such an important treatment and I am glad I did. Meeting with Dr Shahmalak, the surgeon who was going to perform the procedure meant that all of my questions were answered in full and very accurately. There were no great claims, hard-selling tactics or ambiguous answers involved.

Dr Shahmalak made me feel at ease immediately and therefore confident to ask all of the scripted questions I had about the procedure. Dr Shahmalak furnished me with concise and relevant information, and further literature to take away to aid me in my decision. After meeting with Dr Shahmalak and his team, and experiencing their working environment, I knew this was the clinic to carry out my procedure. My search was over.

Prior to booking my operation, I phoned up the clinic on two separate occasions to ask further questions that the literature had provoked. On each occasion, the clinic were very happy to answer any questions I had. The clinic staff conveyed professionalism, privacy and friendliness at all times.

On the day of the procedure, my nerves were abated by a very kind and caring team of people. The relaxed and convivial atmosphere in the operating room made the day go very quickly indeed for myself. I was extremely well looked after all day and made to feel so comfortable, that I believe it is the only medical building I have not longed to leave as soon as I had entered. The ability of the team to act professionally, whilst creating a light mood was refreshing.

The procedure and the following five weeks of recovery have all gone exactly as Dr Shahmalak and the literature provided by the clinic stated it would. That has been very reassuring indeed. I would not hesitate to recommend Crown Clinic to anyone considering this type of treatment. I am very happy with the choice I made and my progress to date.
