Overall, I had a great experience with Crown Clinic. My initial consultation was arranged very quickly and easily over the phone, and Dr Shahmalak was very informative but also honest as to set realistic treatment expectations. His team was on hand via phone and email over the next weeks to ensure any queries were answered promptly and in detail. Afshan in particular is very helpful. The surgery was arranged with ease and was itself completely professional and efficient. All of Dr Shahmalak’s team were so friendly and helpful during the surgery, they really help put you at ease. Aftercare was explained in detail and a courtesy call 3 days post-surgery was very helpful. Dr Shahmalak and his team are always willing to help.

Following my retirement as Theatre Sister I decided that the time had finally come to look into Hair Restoration. My hair had become very fine and thin following the birth of my daughter 12 years ago, and although I hoped that it would improve with time, it never did. After a thorough search of all the many clinics available and reading countless reviews, I was drawn to the Crown Clinic.
Mr Shahmalak was extremely professional, caring, knowledgeable and highly skilled in his profession, allaying any fears or concerns that I had. The treatment that I received from start to finish was first class. Everyone was very professional, respectful and friendly, which certainly made me feel at ease, nothing was too much trouble. The Pre and post Operative Instructions were thorough and concise, the 24-hour telephone aftercare service for any concerns post-operatively was also very reassuring to have. I am now day 12 following my surgery and am so relieved that I chose Crown Clinic.

Before I chose Dr Shahmalak, I did a lot of research, both on types of procedures and what to look for in a surgeon. I wanted to see testimonies that I could trust but I also learned of an organisation for accredited surgeons called the International Alliance of Hair Restorations Surgeons (IAHRS). Dr Shahmalak is one of the few surgeons in the UK that is accredited. On top of this, I felt comfortable Dr Shahmalak was the right surgeon for me once I had my consultation. Once I decided to go ahead with the surgery, everything was explained in detail. The day of the surgery went really smoothly and the entire team did a fantastic job. The aftercare was excellent. I had lots of questions but the team was always happy to help.

I had my initial consultation with Mr Shahmalak in Feb/March 2021. Options were discussed and explained and left with a positive feeling. As a result of other circumstances I delayed my FUE procedure until March 2022. Once I opted for the procedure the pre-surgery service was very thorough and left no open ends. I arrived at the clinic on the day of the surgery at 7.30am and was free to go by 2.30pm. The whole experience was exceptional; Mr Shahmalak and his team from start to finish were extremely professional and function as a ‘well oiled machine’. They were all very open to answering any questions or queries. I paused and at no stage tried to ‘rush me along’.
The Crown is more expensive when compared to other supposed ‘similar clinics’. I did my research and was fortunate to have personal friends who already FUE procedures at other clinics.
From my experience, to-date, and in my opinion you get what you pay for!

I have had an excellent experience with Crown Clinic, from the 1st consultation meeting to the end of the surgery and aftercare. Everything has been top class.
My initial consultation was very informative. Dr Shahmalak explained what would happen during and after the procedure. We then repeated this on the morning before surgery to ensure I had the opportunity to as any questions before we began.
Once I had the local anaesthetic I didn’t feel a thing and was very comfortable for the rest of the day. Dr Shahmalak and his team made me feel very comfortable all day.
I cannot fault the experience. I would recommend Crown Clinic to anyone. A highly experienced team, state of the aft surgery and a team you can trust.

From the initial telephone enquiry, face to face consultation with Doctor Shahmalak, through to surgery and beyond, I could not have been put more at ease from Dr Shahmalak and his wonderful team. I knew that the surgery would take a while but to be fair, because the doctor and his team are so personable I felt the time flew by as were chatting away. No stone was left unturned in explaining to me how the procedure would go and how to look after myself postop. It is early days, I am three weeks post op and I could not be happier.
