Homes Under The Hammer Star Martin Roberts Has Surgery At Crown Clinic

Martin Roberts came to the Crown Clinic for a hair transplant just before Christmas.

He had noticed that he had a significant bald patch around his crown and wanted help.

Like a lot of men, this hair loss had affected his confidence and he found that it was a distraction when he was filming his hugely popular property auction show on BBC1 which is now in its 10th year.

Rather than concentrating on his script, Martin would sometimes be concerned that the camera angle might pick up on his bald spot.

He realised that there was a simple solution to his problems: a hair transplant.

We pride ourselves on the work we do with a number of leading celebrities at Crown Clinic and we were only too happy to help.

It was fascinating for us to talk to Martin about why a hair transplant is such good value for money.

He said: “Lots of blokes will happily spend £12,000 on a car but not on their bodies. It’s crazy that men should feel embarrassed about having a transplant.”

You can read more about Martin’s hair transplant on the Daily Mail’s website here:

Martin’s transplant was carried out by Dr Shahmalak, who pointed out there had been a 25% increase in bookings in the last few years.

Dr Shahmalak said: “One reason is that there are clear psychological benefits for some men in having a transplant.

“I often see men who are depressed and anxious because of their hair loss.”

It will take around a year for Martin’s transplanted hair to fully grow back. We will bring you pictures of the final result just as soon as they are available.
